Get tips on what makes an effective job search and how to target your resume, develop a crisp “elevator speech,” practice successful interview techniques, and more. How do you start? Where do you start? What do you do?

This workshop provides those answers and more – and the best part – it is free. You can ask as many questions as you want.

Presented by a workforce professional from Business and Career Services, Inc, located at the American Job Center in Wheeling. This center is one of more than 3,000 federally funded American Job Centers nationwide that provide services for both job seekers and employers.

In this workshop you’ll learn:

  • How to streamline your job search strategy.
  • Why it is important to tailor your resume to job applications.
  • How to craft a compelling elevator speech.
  • Important preparation before an interview and how to follow-up after an interview.
  • Best practices to stay organized and persistent.
