U.S. Job Search Tips for Skilled Immigrants – How to convert foreign degrees/experience (in-person)

Are you an immigrant or refugee with university education and professional experience from outside the U.S.? Get strategies to adapt your professional job search to American job search practices. We will discuss résumé do’s and don’ts, networking, interviewing, credential evaluation, and more.

Pre-registration is required for this event. Walk-ins accepted on a space available basis.

Workshop Location: Harper Learning & Career Center, 1375 S Wolf Road, Prospect Heights, IL 60070. ONE block south of Palatine-Willow Road & Wolf Road. EAST side of Wolf Road. Ample free parking in front.

PLEASE NOTE:

  • You must register as there is only space for 18 people per workshop.
  • Registration closes at 7pm the day prior to workshop.
  • Check in 15 minutes prior to workshop. ABSOLUTELY NO ADMITTANCE after session starts. Be sure to allow enough time for traffic, construction & weather.
  • Workshops are for individuals age 18+.
  • Subject to change without notice.
  • If you need to cancel, please let us know so someone else can use your seat.
